The combination of Charles Robinson inside and Joseph Bockman outside was a good one Tuesday night for the Decorah Vikings, as the boys basketball team beat Charles City on the road, 69 to 56.
Decorah led 45-30 at haftime, then withstood a Charles City rally which brought the score to 48-46 Decorah at the end of the third quarter. The Vikings outscored the Comets 24-10 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Jacob Pipho added 7 points and Briggs Duwe had 6 points for the Vikings.
The victory improved Decorah's record to 11 wins and 4 losses overall. Decorah is 8-2 in the Northeast Iowa Conference. Decorah will make another road trip on Thursday night, traveling to Denver, which is ranked #5 in Class 2A.
