Decorah boys bowling team improves to 7-1 on the season

The Decorah Viking boys bowling squad improved to seven wins and one loss Friday with a 2,741 to 2,414 victory over Forest City in Forest City.  The victory--along with a Charles City loss to Decorah a shot at wining the conference championship.

Decorah was led by Emmit Stemper, who bowled a 365 over two games and by Brendan Hunter, who had a 358.  Other Viking scores were Luke Iverson with a 348; Jackson Rollins with a 336; Tyler Thompson with a 319; and Mason Hill with a 281.

The Viking junior varsity improved to 7-0 on the season with a 2,667 to 2,064 victory over Forest City.  Daniel Skrade with a 370, Tyler Shedinger with a 363 and Brody Anfinson with a 360 led the way for the Viking junior varsity.

The Vikings will host North Iowa at 4:00 p.m. Friday at Oneota Lanes in Decorah.
