15 of the top 20 finishers in the Northeast Iowa Conference junior varsity girls meet Tuesday at Cresco were Vikings

The Decorah Viking girls junior varsity cross country team took the first eight finishes and 15 of the top 20 finishes Tuesday at the Northeast Iowa Conference Championships at Cresco.

Rachel Bower was the meet medalist, crossing the finish line in 23:03.01.  She was followed by Brielle Buresh in second place with a time of 23:20.1.  Brynn Storhoff finished third with a time of 23:38.0; Kathryn Kelly finished fourth with a time of 23:39.0; Abby Bolson was fifth with a time of 23:47.6; Danielle Losen finished sixth with a time of 23:48.2; Mya Numedahl finished seventh with a time of 24:00.4; Mairi Sessions finished eighth with a time of 24:02.8; and Claire Schutte finished tenth with a time of 24:27.0.

Top twenty finishes were recorded by Maggie Kane, whi finished 11th with a time of 24:33.2; Grace Brynsaas, who finished 12th with a time of 24:42.2; Naomi Simon, who finished 13th with a time of 24:42.3; Clara Rooney, who finished 18th with a time of 25:20.0; and Grace Thompson, who finished 19th with a time of 25:22.0.
