Decorah girls basketball team improves to 10-5 on the season

The Decorah girls basketball team played against Charles City last night in Decorah. The Vikings added another win and are now at 10-5 on the season and 7-2 in conference play.

The Vikings cemented their lead early in the game, ending the first quarter at 14-0. Further gains were made by The Vikings through the 2nd quarter, with the team capitalizing on every opportunity and putting the score at 28-10, Vikings' advantage, at half-time. The Vikings came back from halftime keeping their stride against Charles City, ending the third quarter ahead by 41-19. In the fourth quarter, Charles City started to steadily put points on the board, but The Vikings took home the win with the final score being 61-37.

Abigail Milburn lead her team in points, scoring 16. Hayley Gossman scored 11 points, including 4 free-throws. Bryar Duwe scored 10 points.

Decorah will be playing against Waukon next Tuesday at Waukon High School.
