The Forest City girls bowling team is one of the best squads in Iowa, having qualified for the State Meet last year.

The Decorah Vikings were no match for Forest City Friday--especially at Forest City's home lanes.  The Vikings dropped a 2,574 to 2,320 decision.

The Viking girls were led by Lexi Hauber with a 347, Grace Cerleman with a 328 and Rebecca Bruening with a 327.

Said head coach Keith Bruening, "We still miss way too many spares.  Until we can convert spares, we will struggle.  We will go back to practice and try to figure it out."

The Viking girls will host North Iowa at Oneota Lanes on Friday afternoon.
