Decorah Vikings boys basketball team wins at home against New Hampton

The Decorah Viking boys basketball team beat New Hampton at home Friday night.
The Vikings trailed New Hampton 10-8 at the end of the first quarter, but the Vikings took the lead by halftime, ending the first half ahead, 27-20.
Decorah kept the lead through the third quarter with New Hampton on their heels, ending the third quarter 36-30 in favor of Decorah. The Vikings pushed their lead even further in the fourth quarter, closing the game with a 53-44 victory.
Jacob Pipho led the Vikings with 16 points, while Briggs Duwe had 13 points.
Decorah is now at 7-2 in the Northeast Iowa Conference. The Vikings will be heading to Charles City on Tuesday.
