Decorah Vikings boys basketball team improves to 9-3 with a win Saturday at Center Point-Urbana

The Decorah Vikings boys basketball team continues to win.
After beating the Waverly-Shell Rock GoHawks at home on Friday night, the Vikings hit the road Saturday to take on Center Point-Urbana in Center Point. Decorah took a three point lead at the end of the first quarter and expanded that lead to four points at halftime, taking a 20-16 score into the break.
That margin increased in the second half. Decorah went up 40-32 by the end of the third quarter, then sealed the nine point victory, beating CPU 51-42.
Charlie Robinson was the only Viking in double figures, having 18 points. Joseph Bockman added 9 points and Briggs Duwe and Jacob Pipho each had seven points.
Decorah will return to Northeast Iowa Conference action on Thursday night when it hosts Cresco Crestwood.
