Decorah girls wrestling team loses to Waverly-Shell Rock at home

The Decorah Viking girls wrestling squad dropped a 54.0-30.0 decision to the Waverly-Shell Rock GoHawks at home Thursday night.
The first five Decorah wrestlers lost their matches, but at 132 pounds, Madison Heim won by fall at 1:46. In the same weight class, Isabel Ihde also won for the Vikings, taking a 2-1 decision. At 145 pounds, Decorah's Naomi Simon took a 7-4 decision. At 195 pounds, Decorah's Riley Wilson faced a Waverly wrestler who withdrew because of injury. She then faced a second wrestler and won by fall at 3:46 into her match. Also at 195 pounds, Decorah's Maia Foster won by fall in five seconds.
