Decorah boys and girls bowling squads lose to Charles City

The Charles City Comets have typically had strong boys and girls bowling squads the last few years. Friday was no exception for the visiting Decorah Vikings--especially competing on the Comets' home lanes.
The Viking boys suffered their first loss of the season, dropping a 2,999 to 2,631 decision to Charles City. Tyler Thompson and Tyler Shedinger led the Vikings, with Thompson bowling a 382 and Shedinger rolling a 355. Luke Iverson rolled a 345 for the Vikings, with Nolan Jostand bowling a 340, Brendan Hunter having a 329 and Emmit Stemper rolling a 323.
The Viking girls lost 2,699 to 2,478 to Charles City. Junior Paige Lange led the Vikings with a 332, senior Lexie Hauber bowled a 328, Annika Lensch had a 318, Rebecca Bruening rolled a 315, Grace Gerleman had a 309 and Moriah Grinna had a 253. The girls now have a record of 4 wins and 2 losses.
