The Decorah Viking boys bowling team turned in another strong performance at Oneota Lanes on Tuesday, beating visiting West Delaware, 3,149 to 2,939.

Decorah's Luke Iverson bowled a 232 and a 268, giving him a total of 500 pins.  Co-captain Tyler Thompson also had a strong day, bowling a 231 and a 245 for a 476 total.  Juniors Brendon Hunter and Mason Hill also were strong contributors, with Hunter having a 397 and Hill having a 382.

Decorah coach Keith Bruening said, "West Delaware is an elite high school bowling program.  Anytime you shoot a 3,149, you're going to win!"

The Viking junior varsity also won on Tuesday, beating West Delaware 2,649 to 2,358.  The JV was led by Jackson Rollins (413) and Emmit Stemper (348).

It won't get easier for the Vikings after the Christmas break.  Decorah will head to Charles City on January 8th to face the always-tough Comets.
