Six Decorah HS graduates attending Luther College named to All-Academic list

Six Luther College athletes who graduated from Decorah High School have been named to the 2020 American Rivers Conference Fall Sports All-Academic Team.
 
The Fall Sports All-Academic Team is comprised of student-athletes from the sports of men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, football, volleyball, women's tennis, and women's golf.  To qualify for all-academic team honors, a student-athlete must be in their sophomore, junior or senior year of eligibility; have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater on a 4.0 scale; have attended the school for at least a year; and be a member of the varsity team.

The six Decorah High School graduates are:

--Emma Fretheim, a 2019 Decorah HS graduate on the Luther women's golf team, a first time honoree
--Isabel Iverson, a 2017 Decorah HS graduate on the Luther women's soccer team, a third time honoree
--Jake Muhlbauer, a 2018 Decorah HS graduate on the Luther men's soccer team, a second time honoree
--Jarod Phillips , a 2018 Decorah HS graduate on the Luther men's cross country team, a second time nominee

--Anna Spencer, a 2017 Decorah HS graduate on the Luther women's tennis team, a second time honoree
--Paul Strand, a 2017 Decorah HS graduate on the Luther men's soccer team, a third time honoree
