Boys basketball team steamrolls New Hampton to go to 2-0 in the NEIC

The Decorah Viking boys basketball team notched an easy victory Friday night against New Hampton on the road.

The Vikings took a 24-3 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back, widening their lead to 49-19 at halftime on their way to a 43 point victory, 74 to 31.

Charlie Robinson led the Vikings with 19 points, with Joe Bockman adding 14 points and Jacob Pipho adding 13 points.

Decorah is now 2-0 in the Northeast Iowa Conference and 2-1 overall.  The Vikings will continue NEIC competition on Tuesday night, traveling to Waukon to face the Indians.
