Decorah boys bowling tean improves to 2-0

The Decorah Viking boys bowling squad beat Waukon Friday at Oneota Lanes in Decorah to improve to 2-0 on the young season.

The Vikings were led by junior Brendan Hunter, who rolled a two-game total of 428 points and by senior Luke Iverson, who rolled a 221 and 192 for a 413.

Other Viking scores were Jackson Rollins with a 153 and 244, for a total of 397; Mason Hill with a 141 and 129 for a 270 total; Gavin Sims with a 137 and 183 for a total of 320; and Emmit Stemper with a 143 and 178 for a total of 321.

Said Head Coach Keith Bruening, "The boys are getting strikes, but we are not consistent with our spares--we will keep working hard in practice."

Next up for the Vikings will be the Oelwein Huskies.
