Viking girls basketball team beats Lansing Kee in season opener

The Decorah Viking girls basketball season opened its 2020-2021 season with a home match against Lansing Kee High on Tuesday night. The Vikings held the Hawks to just five points in the first half, and the result was a 50-22 victory.
Bryar Duwe led the Vikings with 19 points, while Emma Neirengarten added 14 points.
Decorah led 15-3 after the first quarter, 31-5 at halftime and 46-13 at the end of the third quarter.
"It was good to get the first game under our belt and to begin focusing on the things we can imp[rove upon and celebrate the things we are doing well," said head coach Shannon Quandahl.
