Luther College hires new director of Legends Fitness for Life Center

2019 Luther College graduate Jacob Leeps has been hired as an assistant athletic performance coach and as director of Legends Fitness for Life Center.

Leeps was a three-year letter winner for the Norse football team. During his senior year, he served as the athletic performance intern and was the student supervisor for the Legends Center and Regents Center.

He returns to Luther after serving as a graduate assistant athletic performance coach at William Penn University, a position he held since June 2019. At the same time, he worked as the director of athletic performance and athletic performance coach at Pella High School.

Leeps has also served as athletic performance coach at North Mahaska High School (June 2019-April 2020); University of Nebraska Husker power strength intern (May 2018-August 2018); assistant strength coach at Decorah High School (May 2017-August 2017); and athletic performance coach and physical therapy intern at Team Rehab in Decorah (December 2015-May 2017).
