Unfortunately for the Decorah Viking volleyball squad, the third time wasn't the charm for them in facing Waverly-Shell Rock this year.  The Vikings played a competitive match against the Go-Hawks in Waverly on Thursday night, but dropped a 3-0 decision in a second round playoff match.

After dropping the first set, 25-10, the Vikings were competitive in the second two sets, but lost 25-18 and 25-19 to drop the 3-0 decision.

Decorah finishes its season with 19 wins and 12 losses and a second place finish in the NE Iowa Conference regular season standings.

Waverly continues in postseason play and now has a record of 38 wins and 8 losses.
