The Decorah Viking volleyball team ran its record to three wins and one loss after winning twice on Saturday at the Charles City Tournament.

After losing to Charles City, 15-21, 16-21, the Vikings dropped the first set to Iowa Falls, but took the next two sets and won 19-21, 21-16, 15-13.  They then closed out the tournament by beating Mason City 21-13, 21-16.

Head coach Gina Holthaus was happy with the way her team came back against Iowa Falls and won the next two sets, which she says "shows these girls are going to battle."

She says, "overall this was a good first week of competition for us and we are looking forward to traveling to St. Ansgar on Tuesday night."

There have been time changes for the matches at St. Ansgar--9th grade A team and the Junior Varsity will play at 5:00 pm; 9th grade B team and JJV will play at 6:00 p.m. and the varsity match will follow.
