The offense was hitting on all cylinders Wednesday night as the Decorah Viking baseball team visited Turkey Valley High School.

The Vikings and Trojans were tied at 3-3 after the second inning, but the Vikings batted around in the third inning en route to scoring seven runs and taking a 10-3 lead.  The Vikings scored six more runs, with three in the 4th and three in the 5th, as they notched the ten-run victory, 16-6.

Kyle Renken got the victory on the mound, allowing four runs in four and 2/3rds innings.  Said Head Coach Adam Riley, "Kyle Renken threw the ball very well and continued to show how great of a teammate he is by doing whatever needs to be done to help his team succeed by throwing 4 great innings of baseball."

Decorah had 15 hits, with Brody Young driving in four runs while going 2-for-3.  Cael Luzum, Seth Shindelar and Andrew Magner joined Brody Young in getting two hits.

The Vikings will travel to Manchester on Friday for a 5:00 p.m. Junior Varsity/Varsity doubleheader against West Delaware.
