The visiting Charles City Comets softball team scored ten times in the last two innings Tuesday night against Decorah and the result was a 15-7 loss for the Vikings.

Decorah scored three runs in the first inning and two more in the second inning, but Charles City scored four times in the top of the second inning and once in the top of the fifth inning to tie the score at 5-5.  That's when the Comets, who are now 8-1 on their season, put the game away, scoring five runs in the 6th inning and five more in the 7th.  In all, Charles City had 20 hits.

Decorah is now 4-5 on the season and will travel to Waverly-Shell Rock Wednesday evening for a junior varsity/varsity doubleheader.
