Updated information: NST high school swimmers compete at State Meet

Northeastern Swim Team seniors competed over the weekend at the 2020 Iowa Short Course Championship in Iowa City.

Gus Grimstad placed third in the 200 Yard Individual Medley in 1:57.50, fourth in the 100 Yard Butterfly in 51.30, and fifth in the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 1:00.17.

Jackson Penny placed eighth in the 200 Yard Individual Medley and 200 Yard Breaststroke.

Drew Chamberlain placed eighth in the 1650 Yard Freestyle by dropping 58.30 and finishing in 17:26.02. Drew also swam the 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:02.33.

Margaret Rhodes placed 16th on the 200 Yard Butterfly in 2:19.13.

Cole Huebner placed 16th on the 200 Yard Butterfly in 2:06.10.

Both of the relay teams made sectional cut times. The 400 Yard Freestyle Relay of Cole Huebner, Drew Chamberlain, Jackson Penny and Gus Grimstad placed 11th in 3:20.74. The boy's 400 Yard Medley Relay also placed 11th with a time of 3:41.72.

Swimmers will now compete at the Central Sectional meet in two weekends in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
