The Decorah Viking girls basketball team was overmatched Saturday night in their postseason playoff game against #9-ranked Cedar Rapids Xavier.  The Vikings dropped a 62-18 decision to end with a record of 12 wins and 10 losses.

Nothing much went right for the Vikings at Xavier.  The girls scored just 6 points in the entire first half, then 12 points in the second half.  None of the Vikings had more than two baskets made.

But head coach Shannon Quandahl was pleased with her team's above .500 season record.  "We had a great season and continued to improve with each game," she said, adding, "Unfortunately, our season came to an end much sooner than we had hoped, but I'm proud of our team and their accomplishments."
