Viking boys basketball team breaks the 100 mark in win Thursday night in Mabel

It was a display of offensive power Thursday night as the Decorah Viking boys basketball team beat Mabel-Canton, 102-67, in Mabel.

The Vikings scored 25 points in the first quarter, 22 in the second quarter, 30 in the third quarter and 25 in the fourth quarter to reach 102 points for the night.

As you might expect, several Vikings had a good night offensively.  Charlie Robinson put in 29 points; Logan Halverson had 20 points; Matthew Franzen had 18 points and Keaton Solberg and Patrick Bockman each had 11 points.  Four other Vikings also scored  As a team, the Vikings made 16 3-point baskets.

Decorah is now 14-4 on the season.  It will host Waukon on Tuesday night, trying to improve its 8-2 record in the NEIC.
