Viking girls basketball team drops a decision to MFL/Mar-Mac

The MFL/Mar-Mac Bulldogs girls basketball team went on an 11-4 run midway through the second quarter of Thursday night's game at Decorah, grabbing a lead they never relinquished.  When the final buzzer went off, the score was MFL/Mar-Mac 55, Decorah 33.

"MFL is a solid basketball team and they came to play," said Viking head coach Shannon Quandahl.

Decorah was led by Bryar Duwe, who had 11 points, and by Amanda Kuehner, who had 9.  Decorah's Kylah Quandahl sank two 3-pointers and ended the night with 8 points.

Decorah is now 8-4 overall and 2-3 in the Northeast Iowa Conference.  Decorah will travel to Crestwood on Tuesday and to Charles City on Friday.
