Decorah boys basketball team continues to roll

The Decorah Viking boys basketball team turned in a strong second half performance Thursday night at home to defeat MFL/Mar-Mac, 83-59.

The Vikings led by four points at the end of the first quarter and by seven points at halftime.  But it was their third quarter scoring that sealed the win.  The Vikings outscored the Bulldogs, 24-9,in the third quarter to take a 57-38 lead and coasted to the win.

Ten Vikings broke into the scoring column, led by Matthew Franzen, who scored 19 points, and Logan Halverson, who had 15 points.  Decorah connected on eight 3-point baskets, which helped it to extend its third quarter lead.

Decorah now has seven wins and three losses.  The Vikings will host Crestwood on Tuesday night and Charles City next Friday night.
