The Decorah Viking boys bowling squad is off to a 3-0 start to its season.  The Vikings defeated Oelwein, 2,771 to 2,512, at home on Friday.

Junior Tyler Thompson rolled a 389 to lead the Vikings, with sophomore Emmit Stemper just two pins behind with a 387 and senior Breydon Johnson nine pins behind at 380.

"The boys missed some easy shots, but for the most part I was happy with how we bowled," said head coach Keith Bruening.

Bryedon Johnson was 8 of 10 in the Baker Round and Emmitt Stemper, Tyler Thompson and Justin Redenius were 7 of 10.

The Vikings will bowl in Manchester on Friday afternoon, taking on West Delaware.
