Competing on their home lanes, the Decorah Viking girls bowling team stayed undefeated on Friday, beating Oelwein 2,390 to 1,984.

The Viking girls were led by senior Alexis Svestka and junior Lexie Hauber, who rolled identical 345 scores.  The 345 represented the second highest score ever registered by a Decorah girls bowling team member.

"We're starting to gel as a team," said head coach Keith Bruening.  He added, "I'm excited to bowl West Delaware (Friday) in a hostile environment and see how we handle it!"

The junior varsity girls shot an 1,880 to also remain undefeated.

The Decorah junior varsity will host Waukon on Thursday, while the varsity will travel to Manchester on Friday.
