The Decorah Viking boys bowling team overcame some struggles with lane conditions on Friday afternoon in West Union and beat North Fayette/Valley 2,672 to 1,924.

Said coach Keith Bruening after the match, "I'm proud of the boys for competing and not losing their focus."

Senior captain Logan Einck led the way with a 410, with help from Tyler Thompson (377) and Nolan Jostand (335), who excelled in the Baker Rounds.

Next up for the Vikings--the always-tough Charles City Comets, who will visit Decorah at 4:00 p.m. Thursday for a match at Oneota Lanes.
