The Decorah Viking girls basketball team played at 9:00 Saturday morning in the "Border Battle" held at Luther College.  The Vikings scored only 32 points--but their defense held Fillmore Central to 28 points, which meant the Vikings improved to 4-0 on the season.

Bryar Duwe was the only Viking to score in double digits, although five others broke the scoring column.  Duwe's 14-point total was helped by hitting three 3-pointers.

Decorah head coach Shannon Quandahl said the game against Fillmore Central was a good non-conference game.  "Maintaining discipline and application of game specifics from practices to competition are areas in which we continue to learn and grow," she said.

Decorah will open Northeast Iowa Conference action on Tuesday night, hosting Cresco Crestwood in a 7:30 p.m. match.
