The Decorah boys cross country team traveled to Fort Dodge on Saturday to compete with the best teams and individuals runners in the state. Decorah finished in 8th place out of 15 talented teams. Junior Brady Hogan earned an individual medal and a spot on the platform with his impressive 4th place finish out of a field of 130 runners. Hogan stopped the clock at 16:15.
Decorah finished with 188 points behind Dallas Center-Grimes (109), Clear Creek-Amana (110), Center Point-Urbana (127), Dubuque Wahlert (156), Marion (174). Gilbert (179) and Carlisle (179). The team's average time was 17:04 with a spread of 1:15.
Finishing after Hogan was junior Noah Lovelace with a time of 17:05 (34th), senior Pat Bockman with a time of 17:13 (42nd), Senior Willem Hawley with a time of 17:16 (47th), Senior Spencer Peterson with a time of 17:31 (62nd), sophomore Izaak Eichinger with a time of 17:45 (72nd), and rounding it out for the Vikings was senior Joseph Seo with a time of 18:47 (96th).
