The Decorah volleyball team lost a hard-fought battle to New Hampton Tuesday night. The final score was Decorah 1, New Hampton 3 (25-21, 17-25, 12-25, 14-25).

Coach Gina Holthaus praised her team's effot saying, "New Hampton is a very solid team. We battled with them in all 4 games even though some of the scores might not indicate that."  Decorah is only the fourth team to take a set off the Chickasaws this year. New Hampton has only lost five sets this season and has a record of 19-1.

"Our back row players, Emma, Lexi and Kallie have been keeping the  ball alive for us and giving us lots of chances to swing," says Holthaus. "Last night, neither team gave up on the ball and the digs both ways were amazing. I believe that playing in these high level energy games will continue to help us as the season rolls along."

Decorah will take to the court again Saturday when they host a tournament.
