Track & field and cross country programs at Luther College will now be under coordinated control. The college has announced that Steve Pasche and Yarrow Pasche have accepted the positions of Director of Track & Field and Cross Country for the men's and women's teams respectively.
Said Luther College Director of Athletics Renae Hartl, "Steve and Yarrow are both ready for this elevated challenge and I know that they will bring these four important programs together with a high-level of synergy and stability."
Steve and Yarrow are in the midst of their 15th year as head coaches of the Luther cross country teams. Steve Pasche has led the men's teams to five conference titles and five appearances at the NCAA III National Championships. Yarrow Pasche has led the women's teams to three conference titles, two regional titles and seven national championship appearances. Steve has been named Conference Coach of the Year five times and Yarrow three times. Yarrow was also named Region Coach of the Year twice. During their tenure, both Steve and Yarrow have been assistant coaches for the track and field programs.
The new positions were announced following the resignation of head track coach Steven Fleagle, who accepted a position at Boston University as an assistant coach.
