Two Decorah HS graduates are members of this fall's Luther men's soccer squad

The Luther College men's soccer team has gotten off to a record of four wins, one loss and one tie this fall.  There are 44 members of the squad—including two Decorah High School graduates.

Junior Paul Strand is a defender on the squad.  Strand was a 2018 American Rivers Conference Fall Sports All-Academic honoree (3.5 GPA or higher)  While at Decorah High School he earned four letters in soccer and two as a member of the football team.  He was named the Vikings Defensive MVP as well as the team MVP in soccer.  Paul is the son of Paula Strand and David Strand of Ridgeway.

Sophomore Jake Muhlbauer is also a defender.  He saw action in two matches last season.  While at Decorah High School he earned four letters in soccer and two as a member of the football team.  He was named honorable mention all-state in soccer, was also a two-time all-district selection in football, was named academic all-state in both sports and finished as class Valedictorian.  Jake is the son of Todd and Dawn Muhlbauer.
