The Decorah Viking baseball team on Monday night did well against #1-ranked Cedar Rapids Xavier--at first.  The Vikings took a 1-0 lead entering the third inning, but the Knights put up seven runs on the board on six hits, then coasted to a 9-4 victory in Cedar Rapids.

Xavier now has won 24 games in a row and is 37-2 overall.  Decorah ended the season with a 16-17 record.

Xavier will play Charles City on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Xavier.  Charles City beat Waverly, 7-3, on Monday night.  The winner earns a spot at the State Tournament.
