The Decorah Viking baseball team got shut out Thursday night against Manchester West Delaware.

The Vikings committed six errors and allowed seven runs to score in the 2nd inning, en route to dropping a 9-0 non-conference match in Decorah.

Jace Johnson gave up eight runs in three innings--but only three of the runs were earned.  Cael Luzum, Seth Shindelar and Andy Murphy were the only Vikings to get a hit.

Said head coach Adam Riley following the game, "The second inning really plagued us early in this game with a large number of mistakes that should not happen at this point in time in the season."

Decorah is now 15-15 on the season.  The Vikings will play one last non-conference game--Monday at home against Cedar Falls--before playing at Cedar Rapids Xavier on Thursday evening in a 5:00 p.m. game against Center Point-Urbana.
