Retired Luther College head women's basketball coach Jane Hildebrand has been named the interim women's golf head coach, while Morgan McMillan has been hired as the assistant women's golf coach.  The duo replaces Eric Karius who recently resigned as head coach.

"Luther holds a special place in my heart and I am looking forward to the opportunity to return and serve Luther athletics," stated Hildebrand. "Since my retirement 3 years ago and eight years ago as the head basketball coach, I have missed the contact with the students. I am excited to meet the women on the team and assist them throughout the fall season and this time of transition."

Since graduating from Wartburg College in 2015, McMillan has been the Assistant Manager and PGA Associate at Oneota Golf and Country Club in Decorah.  During her time at Wartburg, the 2011 graduate of Waukon High School earned all-Iowa Conference honors three times, placing ninth (2011), second (2013) and third (2014) at the conference championships. She also earned Women's Golf Coaches Association All-Midwest region honors as a senior. She helped lead Wartburg to four conference championships and four trips to the NCAA III National Tournament.

With seven returning letter winners, including five who played in last year's conference championship and two who earned all-conference honors, the Luther women's golf team is again setting its sights on contending for the conference title again.
