The Oelwein Huskies rallied for three runs in the top of the 7th inning at Decorah Friday night, taking a 5-2 decision from the Vikings in nine innings.

Viking Head Coach Adam Riley said after the game, "this was a well played high school baseball game.  Drake Shelton really pitched an outstanding game and set the tone for the team to really battle in their at bats and defensively throughout the evening.  We certainly created opportunities to win the game, but a few well struck balls unfortunately found Oelwein gloves instead of ending in hits."

Shelton pitched eight innings and gave up just one earned run.  He also hit a home run and a double.

Decorah is now 8-8 in the NEIC, 11-15 overall.  The Vikings will travel to Cresco Tuesday night to take on the Cadets.
