Three errors early in their home game against Waterloo Columbus on Wednesday night doomed the Decorah Viking baseball team.  Decorah lost, 8-4.

Head coach Adam Riley noted that the errors came on routine plays and "really caused us to handcuff ourselves in this ballgame."  Ryan Schneberger shook off his team's early defensive lapses and pitched seven quality innings of baseball.

Decorah is now 11-14 on the season.  The Vikings will resume NEIC play when they host Oelwein Friday night.  At the game, long-time Viking baseball coach Dennis Olejniczak and his wife, Paula, will be recognized for their 55 years of support of the baseball program.
