The Decorah Viking baseball team had its hitting gloves on Friday night at home in Waukon.  The Vikings rapped out 25 hits and scored 28 runs in the doubleheader.

The opening game lasted 4 2/3rds innings as the Vikings scored twice in the bottom of the 5th to make it a 13-3 victory.  Cael Luzum went five innings to get the win on the mound, then had three hits in the batter's box.  Jace Johnson had four hits and Andy Murphy batted in three runs.

The opening game 10-run win was just a warm-up for the 15-0 nightcap victory.  21 members of the Vikings' squad got a chance to play as Decorah scored three runs in the 1st, five runs in the 2nd, two runs in the 3rd and 5 runs again in the 4th to bring an early end to the game.

Decorah is now 5-7 on the season.  The Vikings host Crestwood Monday; travel to Oelwein Wednesday, travel to New Hampton Friday and host South Winneshiek Saturday.
