"Decorah ventured into Comet country on Tuesday evening and came away with a very competitive meet victory, 9-0. The victory marked the third dual meet victory for the Lady Vikes against no losses. We knew going in that they would be a worthy opponent and they did not disappoint. Every point was hotly contested leading to a couple of sets that went into overtime to settle, 7-5. At this point in the season, we could not have asked for a better meet.

When you, as a player, are forced to buckle down in a match you begin to realize that there is significant improvement needed if you are to be a viable factor in the regional team contest. It was a clean sweep in doubles with each duo showing improvement in their aggressive play and a reduction in the number of unforced errors. Playing as a team, each player took a turn in setting up their partner for the put away shot. We were very lucky with the weather being as nice as it was for the meet. It brought out the girl's best effort," commented Head Coach Larry Berland.
