Girls soccer team loses after penalty kick against Dubuque Senior

Decorah girls soccer team hosted Dubuque Senior on Saturday and lost 2-1. After a regulation goal by Clara Rooney the score was 1-1. After two--ten minute overtimes, neither team scored. A penalty kick shootout resulted in Dubuque Senior winning the game 2-1. Goalkeeper Skyler Malone had 12 saves during the game.

The jv team fared better as they won 2-1 against Dubuque Senior with both goals scored by Taryn Sanderman.

Next up for the team, the jv girls will host Cedar Falls on Monday at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity girls will travel to Indepence on Monday.
