Decorah boys bowling team loses on the road

Forest City proved to be a tough opponent for the Decorah boys bowling team on Tuesday. Final score was Forest City 2,963 to Decorah 2,714.

Keagen Einck and Tyler Thompson led the boys with 367 pins each, Breydon Johnson had a 338, Nolan Jostand had a 312, and Justin Redenius had a 292.

"The boys varsity lost, ending their season at 4-6. Keagen Einck was 15-15 in the baker rounds with 12 strikes! Outstanding! We just ran into a hot team tonight. I can't fault our kids, we bowled over our average. That's all you can ask of your kids," said head coach Keith Bruening.

The jv boys lost, moving their record to 8-2. Final score was 2,370-2,107. Leading the boys were Brendon Hunter 319, and Lacie Bjergum 276. "We just need to get more consistent," said coach Bruening.

Individual conference for bowling will be Saturday at Maple Lanes Bowling Center in Oelwein.
Bowling districts will be on Tuesday at Oneota Lanes at 12:00 p.m.
