Boys bowling team beats North Iowa in a home match

In the last regular home meet for the season, on Friday night the Decorah Viking boys bowling team won 2,800 to 2,597 against North Iowa. Their record is now 4-4. The Vikings were led by Luke Iverson 420, Keagen Einck 359, and Brendan Hunter 361. Additional scores were by Tyler Thompson with a 357, and Breydon Johnson with a 355.

"Brendan did a nice job for his first meet! I challenged the boys and they responded. Juniors Justin Redenius, Breydon Johnson, and team leader Keagen Einck were outstanding in the baker games. I'm very proud of this bunch!" praised head coach Keith Bruening.

"Boys JV won and moved to 7-1. The boys shot a 2,384 with Nolan Jostand 358, Mason Hill 332, and Jackson Rollins 305. Very nice bowling by the jv boys," said coach Bruening.

Next up the Vikings will travel to the Super Bowl in Forest City for a rescheduled match on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.

The jv bowlers will host Waukon at Oneota Lanes on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
