Decorah drops a close game to Crestwood

The Decorah boys basketball team traveled to Cresco Tuesday night to face #1 ranked Crestwood. The hard-fought battle came down to a 2-point loss for the Vikings with a final score of 55-57.

Head Coach Jonathon Carlson says, "We had opportunities,but we just couldn't capitalize. Our guys played hard and executed for the most part, but just didn't make the plays when we needed to. We will get better from this and will be ready for Charles City on Friday."

There were 7 lead changes and 5 ties in the second half. Matthew Franzen led the scoring for Decorah with 14 points, followed by Patrick Bockman with 10 points.

Decorah is now 4-5 overall and 3-2 in the NEIC. The 4th ranked Vikings will travel to Charles City Friday night to face the 3rd ranked Comets.
