Decorah boys bowling team loses to Charles City on the road

The Decorah boys bowling team traveled to Charles City on Friday night and came up short against the Comets.

"The boys are getting better, we bowled two freshmen, Karter Einck and Emmit Stemper. Both did a nice job in their first meet. Breydon Johnson (433) was outstanding in the baker rounds. Keagan Einck (380) had a nice night as well. We are young and inexperienced, but improving every night. We will get there," said head coach Keith Bruening.

Tyler Thompson bowled 344 in his two games, Luke Iverson had 313, and Karter Einck had 302. Final score was Charles City 3,000 to Decorah 2,584. Varsity boys are now 2-4.

The boys jv team had their first loss to Charles City. Brendan Hunter, Nolan Jostand, and Dominic Sisneros led the team Friday night. Final score was 2,760 to 2,170. JV is now 6-1.

Friday night the Vikings will host Tripoli at Oneota Lanes.
