Luther College will host first and second round matches Saturday and Sunday for the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's National Soccer Tournament.
Luther (16-3-1) will face Knox College in the opening round at 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Knox (16-4-1) is a member of the Midwest Conference.
In the other first round match, Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minn. (14-3-1), will face Dominican University, River Forest, Ill., (12-7-1) at 5:00 p.m. Gustavus is a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and Dominican is a member of the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference.
The winners will advance to the second round match that will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
Luther is making its ninth appearance in the national tournament, the fourth under the leadership of Head Coach Chris Garcia-Prats. Luther earned an automatic berth to the national tournament by winning the six-team American Rivers Conference Tournament. The Norse defeated the Duhawks of Loras College 2-1 in the tournament championship match last Saturday in Dubuque.
