The Decorah boys jv cross country team had a great opening meet on Saturday at the Luther All-American meet. The recent ongoing, rainy weather kept the team from competing until Saturday's meet at Luther College. The Vikings finished in 5th place out of 20 teams with 392 boys.

The top 5 jv runners finished in the top 40. Junior Willem Hawley was the first Viking to cross the finish line in 15th place with his time of 19:08.1. Junior Pat Bockman was right behind in 16th place with a time of 19:08.3. Freshmen Larsson Shockey was 28th with his time of 19:26.4. Zach Garwood finished in 33rd place in 19:32.0. Samuel Robinson was the 5th Viking to cross the finish line with his time of 19:40.2, good for 39th place.
