The Decorah Viking girls swim team will have only one home swim meet this season.  So the Viking girls put on a show Thursday night at the Luther College Aquatic Center, beating Waterloo East, 142-41.

Decorah won 10 out of the 12 events, finishing first and second in nine events.  The Vikings won the 200-Yard Medley Relay, the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay and the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay.  Magaret Rhodes and Danielle Lundtvedt finished first and second in the 200-Yard Freestyle, while Alivia Bahr, Mia Smedsrud and Emily Voyna finished 1-2-3 in the 200-Yard Individual Medley.

Jessice Ling, Tori Hine and Maddi Putnam from Decorah were the only three divers competing, with Jessica Ling getting the highest judges' scores.

Margaret Rhodes, Sarine Guzman and Ashley Elsbernd finished first, second and third in the 100-Yard Butterfly, while Emma Bachelder, Emily Voyna and Katherine Bruening finished 1-2-3 in the 100-Yard Freestyle.  Another 1-2-3 finish was recorded by Kiana Folkedahl, Kathleen Looney and Destiny Berns in the 500-Yard Freestyle.

Next up for the Decorah Viking girls swim team--Waterloo East, again--this time at Waterloo on September 8th.
