Six Decorah High School graduates on Luther College men's soccer team

Six Decorah High School graduates are on this fall's Luther College men's soccer team.
 
The Norse have been picked to finish second in the American Rivers Conference (the renamed "Iowa Conference").  Luther returns 16 letters winners, including eight starters from last year.  Luther won the conference championship last fall, posting a record of 6-1-1 and finishing the year with an overall mark of 11-4-5.  Chris Garcia-Prats, who begins his 11th season as head coach, has posted a record of 118-62-22 during his career. He has led the Norse to three conference championships (2011, 2013, 2017) and three NCAA III National Tournament appearances (2011, 2013, 2016) advancing to the round of 16 in 2011.

Two 2018 Decorah High School graduates are on the Luther men's soccer team.  Jake Muhlbauer is the son of Todd and Dawn Muhlbauer of Decorah.  Andrew Kozelka is the son of Faye Kozelka of Decorah.

2017 Decorah High School graduate Paul Strand is a sophomore defender on the Luther College soccer team.  Strand is the son of Paula Strand and David Strand of Ridgeway.

2017 Decorah High School graduate Brent Schaeffer is a sophomore defender on the Luther College soccer team. Schaeffer is the son of Debbie and Scot Schaeffer of Decorah.

2017 Decorah High School graduate Spencer Weis is a sophomore midfielder on the Luther College soccer team.  Weis is the son of Marty and Gail Weis of Decorah.

2015 Decorah High School graduate Isaac Marquardt is a senior midfielder on the Luther College soccer team.  Marquardt is the son of Thomas and Jill Marquardt of Decorah.
