Decorah girls track and field team finishes in 5th place overall at the State meet

Saturday was a good day for the Decorah girls track team. The Vikings finished in 5th place with 50 points. Pella won the state meet with 70 points. Crestwood and Dubuque Wahlert tied for 2nd place with 64 points, Benton Community was 4th with 57 points.

The sprint medley team of Allie Hafner, Brynne Valkosky, Rylea Ranum, and Katie Nimrod claimed 2nd place with their time of 1:47.69.

Jenna Galligan placed 12th in the 800 meter run finishing in 2:20.24.

It was a 5th place finish for the 4 x 100 meter shuttle hurdle relay team of Grace Syverson, Ambria Pipho, Katie Bjergum, and Bella Knutson with a time of 1:07.27.

Shayla Betts finished 21st in the 1500 meter run with her time of 5:07.22

The 4 x 100 relay team of Allie Hafner, Rylea Ranum, Brynne Valkosky, and Rose Gullekson  finished 7th with their time of 50.54.

The girls 4 x 400 meter relay of Sarah Mikkelson, Brooke Berns, Jenna Galligan, and Katie Nimrod 3-peats as they cross the finish line at 3:57.66.
