Decorah's Andrew Kephart finishes third in the 3,200 at the State Class 3A Track Meet

Decorah runner Andrew Kephart was the first Viking to earn points Thursday at the State Track Meet in Des Moines.

Kephart finished the 3,200 with a time of 9:44.25, good for third place in the event and 6 points for the Viking boys track & field team.

--High jump: Keaton Solberg finished in 21st place by clearing 5 feet, 9 inches
--Shuttle hurdle relay: Jason Adam, Austin Myli, Clay Johansen and Andrew Magner finished in 23rd place with a time of 1:04.92
--200 meter dash: Jackson Varney finished in 22nd place with his time of 23.42
--4 x 800 meter relay: Jarod Phillips, Tyler Vande Lune, Brady Hogan, and Matthew Franzen finished 23rd with their time of 8:39.11
